Øyvind Aamot was traveling in China when he all of a sudden could not remember anything from his life. 27 years were deleted from his memory. Doctors claim he has had a very special type of memory loss called “retrograde amnesia” which is a very rare diagnosis. In 2009 a documentary about Øyvind called “The Quest for Memory” was made. In this interview he shares his whole experience and how he also had to learn everything again.

You’re amazing Øyvind!! Studying with you in Germany in 1994 and getting to know you and hang out during the Wimter Olympics in Lillehammer, was amazing!! And then, getting a call, out of the blue from you that you hady name in a phone book, but didn’t remember who I was, and then meeting you and putting some more pieces together for you has been an amazing journey!!! Love to see that you have found your place and that you are comfortable. Lycka till!!!
