When Tricia returned to her body, she was forever changed. She felt a deep sense of purpose and knew that she had to share her experience with the world. She went on to teach overseas, in public schools, and at the college level, always keeping the lessons of her near-death experience close to her heart.

Today, Tricia teaches English and Creative Writing at a community college in Fort Worth, Texas. She often looks out of her classroom window to see the beautiful Trinity River, which reminds her of the images from her near-death experience. Tricia believes that her experience was a gift, one that has allowed her to see the world in a new light and to help others find their own path to healing.
Tricia is currently working on her memoir, Healed, which chronicles the moment of her accident, her near-death experience, and other moments of trauma that affect many women. The book focuses on being of service to the world as one way to heal from trauma. Tricia believes that by giving back to others, we can find meaning and purpose in our lives, even in the face of adversity.
In addition to her memoir, Tricia’s poetry has been published in several publications, including The Binnacle, The Paterson Literary Review, and The Midwest Quarterly. Her work is deeply personal and reflective, often touching on themes of love, loss, and the human experience.
