Wisdom From North AS complies with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as applicable international privacy laws for users outside Norway.

3. Use of Kajabi and ActiveCampaign

We use Kajabi LLC and ActiveCampaign LLC as our primary data processors for customer communication, email distribution, courses, and memberships.

Kajabi provides the platform for our courses, memberships, digital products, and newsletters, accessible at https://hub.wisdomfromnorth.com.

When you register for a course, free resource, or newsletter via Kajabi, the following data may be processed:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Course, purchase, and login information
  • Activity within the membership portal (e.g., course progress, logins, completed lessons)
  • Consent to receive marketing emails

Kajabi also sends automated messages, newsletters, and follow-up emails related to your activity or registration.
Kajabi may use cookies to track email opens, link clicks, and user engagement to improve our services.

Kajabi LLC is based in the United States and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring lawful transfer of personal data from the EU/EEA to the U.S.
Wisdom From North AS has entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Kajabi to ensure all processing complies with GDPR.

ActiveCampaign

We also use ActiveCampaign LLC for part of our email communication, customer lists, and marketing automation.
Information such as your name, email address, and (if provided) phone number is collected when you subscribe to our newsletters, free resources, or events.

ActiveCampaign stores data in the United States and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Wisdom From North AS has a DPA with ActiveCampaign in full compliance with GDPR.

4. Payments

Wisdom From North AS uses different payment solutions depending on which platform the purchase is made on.
We never store credit card or bank details on our servers. All payments are processed securely by trusted third-party providers in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

A. Purchases through portalen.wisdomfromnorth.no and platform.wisdomfromnorth.no

Payments made through our existing course and membership portals (not Kajabi) are handled by:

  • Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. – for card payments
    Stripe processes payment data in accordance with PCI DSS standards.
    Data may be transferred to the U.S. under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

  • Vipps AS – for mobile payments (available in Norway)
    When paying via Vipps, the necessary data such as your name, phone number, and payment reference are shared to complete the transaction.
    Vipps processes personal data in accordance with Norwegian privacy laws and GDPR.

B. Purchases through hub.wisdomfromnorth.com (Kajabi)

Payments made through our Kajabi-based platform are processed by:

Future Changes

Wisdom From North AS is in the process of consolidating all payment handling into the Kajabi system.
Once this transition is complete, all purchases and payments will be processed via Kajabi and EdPay, and this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to:

7. Who We Share Data With

Wisdom From North AS does not share personal data with third parties except where necessary to deliver our services, manage accounts, process payments, or send communications.
We use only trusted service providers that comply with GDPR and have signed Data Processing Agreements where required.

  • Automattic Inc. – WordPress and AutomateWoo for e-commerce
  • Gravatar (Automattic) – displaying profile images

B. For hub.wisdomfromnorth.com (Kajabi)

  • Kajabi LLC – platform for courses, memberships, and communications
  • ActiveCampaign LLC – email marketing and automation (partial use during transition)
  • EdPay AS – payment intermediary
  • Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. – card payments
  • Vipps AS – mobile payments
  • Klarna Bank AB (publ) – invoice and installment payments

Kajabi, ActiveCampaign, Stripe, Vipps, and Klarna act as independent data controllers for parts of their processing.
All comply with GDPR and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

C. Shared Services Across All Platforms

  • Google (Gmail and Google Analytics) – email communication and analytics
  • Meta Platforms Inc. (Facebook/Instagram) – advertising and tracking (only if you consent)

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for its purpose:

  • Purchase data: 5 years (in accordance with the Norwegian Accounting Act)
  • Customer accounts and memberships: retained while the account remains active. Accounts are deleted or anonymized if you request deletion or no longer wish to be registered.
  • Newsletters and marketing: retained until you withdraw your consent.

When deletion occurs, data is securely removed or anonymized to prevent recovery or misuse.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Rectify incorrect information
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances
